INGREDIENTS:

  1. Curd or yogurt - 1 cup
  2. Gram flour - 2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  3. Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  4. Salt - to taste
  5. -------------------------
  6. -- For tempering -----
  7. -------------------------
  8. Oil - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  9. Mustard seed - 1/4 teaspoon (tsp.)
  10. Cumin seed - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  11. Chopped Green chili - 3
  12. Chopped Ginger - small piece
  13. Curry leaf - 5 count
  14. -------------------------
  15. -- For Garnish --
  16. -----------------------
  17. Chopped Coriander leaf - little
  18. Lemon juice - 2 teaspoon (tsp.) (optional)

PREPARATION:

  1. Beat gram flour, curd or yogurt in a mixer. Make sure there is any lump.
  2. In a pan heat oil. Now add mustard seeds, cumin seeds. Once the mustard seeds stop splattering add ginger, green chili, curry leaves and sauté.
  3. Now add yogurt + gram flour, 2 to 3 cup of water, turmeric powder, salt and bring to boil and cook for 10 minutes.
  4. Now add coriander leaves, lemon juice and boil for couple minutes and serve.

NOTES:

  1. Goes well with potato fry.
