INGREDIENTS:

  1. Black pepper - 2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  2. Dry chili - 3
  3. Coriander seed - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  4. Curry leaf - 1/2 cup
  5. Pigeon pea - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  6. Tamarind - 1 small lemon size
  7. Asafoetida powder - a pinch
  8. Oil - 2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  9. Salt - to taste

PREPARATION:

  1. Dry roast black pepper, dry chili, coriander seeds, curry leaves, pigeon pea each one of them separately.
  2. Now grind the roasted ingredients along with tamarind, salt to taste by adding water as needed to a thick paste.
  3. Heat oil in a pan, add the ground paste and cook until the raw smell is gone or the right thickness is reached to your preference.

NOTES:

  1. You can cook until oil separates as well.
