In a pan add chicken pieces, chopped potato, sliced tomato, slit green chili, coriander leaves, ginger paste, garlic paste, turmeric powder, coriander powder, curry masala powder, half of sliced onion, half salt. To this add 1 cup of water and mix well until all the ingredients get together.
In a pan heat oil. add rest of the onion and sauté to translucent. Now add the chili powder and sauté until the raw smell is gone.
Now add the marinated chicken (all the content), 3 cups of water, salt if needed and bring to boil.
Now place a lid and cook the Kulambu for 15 minutes. NOTE: stir time to time so it does not get burnt.
Now add the ground coconut paste and mix well. Bring this to boil and cook for 5 minutes and serve.
