INGREDIENTS:

  1. Idli rice - 2 cup
  2. Ripe tomato - 8
  3. Garlic - 2
  4. Dry chili - 4
  5. Salt - to taste.

PREPARATION:

  1. Soak idli rice for 2 hours with water.
  2. Grind soaked rice, ripe tomato, garlic, dry chili, salt to taste to batter (dosai batter).
  3. -- Making Dosai --
    1. Heat the flat iron skillet or non-stick tawa pan well.
    2. Pour a spoonful of batter in the center, spread with the back of the spoon to a thin round.
    3. Once this side is cooked, flip over and cook until the dosai is cooked on the other side. Remove and serve the tomato dosai.

NOTES:

  1. Goes well with chutney
