INGREDIENTS:

  1. Mutton (goat or lamb meat) - 1/2 kilogram
  2. Chopped onion - 2
  3. Chopped tomato - 2
  4. -- Grind to paste --
    1. Shredded coconut - 2 teaspoon (tsp.)
    2. Ginger paste - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
    3. Cumin seed - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
    4. Black pepper - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
    5. Fennel seed - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
    6. Garlic - 2 clove
    7. Dry chili - 4
  5. Oil - for tempering
  6. Salt - as needed

PREPARATION:

  1. Grind the ingredients under the section "-- Grind to paste --" into a fine thick paste by adding little water as possible.
  2. In a pan heat oil. Now add onion and sauté until they turn translucent (golden brown).
  3. Now add the tomato and sauté until they turn to mushy.
  4. Now add the mutton, ground paste, salt, 1/2 cup of water. 
  5. Simmer and cook this until the meat is cooked. If you want it dry cook until the oil separates if you like with gravy remove from heat when the thickness of your preference.

NOTES:

  1. Goes well with rice, chapati.
