INGREDIENTS:

  1. Sura or shark fish pieces - 1/2 kilogram
  2. Finely chopped Onion - 2
  3. Finely chopped Garlic - 10 clove
  4. Fresh shredded coconut - 2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  5. Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  6. Cumin powder - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  7. Chopped Green chili - 3
  8. -- For Tempering --
    1. Mustard seed - 1/4 teaspoon (tsp.)
    2. Curry leaf - 1 sprig
    3. Oil - as needed
  9. Salt - as needed

PREPARATION:

  1. Boil or steam the shark and cook them. Remove the skin, bones and break them into new pieces. NOTE: make sure no water is present.
  2. In a pan heat oil add mustard seeds, curry leaf. Once the mustard seeds stop splattering add the garlic and sauté them.
  3. Now add onion, salt and sauté them to translucent.
  4. Now add cumin powder, turmeric powder, green chili and mix well.
  5. Now add cooked shark pieces. Now mix them and cook until they come together for 5 minutes or so.
  6. Now add the coconut, mix well and cook for 3 more minutes then serve.
