INGREDIENTS:
- Sura or shark fish pieces - 1/2 kilogram
- Finely chopped Onion - 2
- Finely chopped Garlic - 10 clove
- Fresh shredded coconut - 2 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Cumin powder - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Chopped Green chili - 3
- -- For Tempering --
- Mustard seed - 1/4 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Curry leaf - 1 sprig
- Oil - as needed
- Salt - as needed
PREPARATION:
- Boil or steam the shark and cook them. Remove the skin, bones and break them into new pieces. NOTE: make sure no water is present.
- In a pan heat oil add mustard seeds, curry leaf. Once the mustard seeds stop splattering add the garlic and sauté them.
- Now add onion, salt and sauté them to translucent.
- Now add cumin powder, turmeric powder, green chili and mix well.
- Now add cooked shark pieces. Now mix them and cook until they come together for 5 minutes or so.
- Now add the coconut, mix well and cook for 3 more minutes then serve.
