INGREDIENTS:

  1. Maida or wheat flour - 2 cup
  2. Backing powder - 2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  3. Unsalted butter (softened) - 1/2 cup
  4. Sugar - 3/4 cup or as needed
  5. Egg -2
  6. Milk - 1 cup
  7. Vanilla essence - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  8. Salt - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)

PREPARATION:

  1. Sift flour, baking powder and salt together.
  2. Preheat oven to 375 Fahrenheit or 170 Celsius.
  3. Line muffin cups with papers.
  4. Cream butter and sugar until they are light and fluffy.
  5. Now beat in eggs one at a time.
  6. Now add flour alternation with milk and beat well.
  7. Now add vanilla essence and mix well.
  8. Divide evenly among pans (fill only 2/3) and bake for 18 minutes. let cool in pans and then serve.
