INGREDIENTS:

  1. Maida flour - 400 grams
  2. Unsalted butter or Margarine - 500 grams
  3. Powdered SugarĀ  - 500 grams
  4. Coco powder - 100 grams
  5. Milk chocolate - 50 grams
  6. Egg - 10
  7. Warm milk - 1/2 cup
  8. Vanilla essence - 2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  9. Baking powder - 2 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)

PREPARATION:

  1. Keep baking tray ready by covering with butter paper.
  2. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius)
  3. Sift the maida flour, coco powder, baking powder with sieve or sifter into a bowl and mix them all together or you can sift them 2 to 3 times.
  4. Heat milk and melt 1/2 the milk chocolate. Once the chocolate is melted add the vanilla essence and stir well. Break the rest of the chocolate into small pieces.
  5. In a big bowl (as shown in image below) add powdered sugar, butter and beat well with a egg beater. i.e. mixed well
  6. Now add 2 eggs and beat them until they foam. Do the same with rest of the eggs. i.e. add 2 eggs beat them then add 2 more eggs beat them until all the eggs are gone.
  7. Now add the cooled down chocolate melted milk and beat well.
  8. Now add maida flour mixture little by little (to avoid lumping) and mix with a spatula or a spoon. Once they are mixed well without any lump. Pour this into the baking tray and Bake in the preheated oven for 35 to 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. NOTE: don't use egg beaters at this stage.
  9. Allow to cool and serve.
