- Idli batter or Dosai batter - 2 cup
- Maida flour - 1 cup
- Finely chopped onion - 2
- Finely chopped green chili - 4
- Cooking soda - 2 pinch
- Salt - as needed
- Oil - for deep fry
- Mix idli or dosai batter, maida flour, chopped onion, chopped green chili, cooking soda, salt as needed and make bonda batter by adding water if needed.
- Heat oil in a deep pan. Make small balls out of the batter and deep fry them to golden brown and serve. NOTE: make sure the batter has less water other wise it will observe lot of oil.
- Now serve the bonda.
- Goes well with chutney
