INGREDIENTS:

  1. Sprouted horse gram - 1 cup
  2. Finely chopped onion - 4
  3. Finely chopped green chili - 2
  4. Asafetida powder - a pinch
  5. Cooking soda (optional) - 1 pinch
  6. Finely chopped coriander leaf - little
  7. Finely chopped curry leaf - little
  8. Salt - as needed
  9. Oil - for deep frying

PREPARATION:

  1. Grind the spouted horse gram coarsely don't add any water. Now add all the other ingredient to and mix well to form a nice vadai dough.
  2. Now make small balls out this dough and fatten them.
  3. Now heat oil in a kadai and deep fry them to golden brown (until they are cooked) and serve.

NOTES:

  1. Goes well with coconut chutney.
