INGREDIENTS:

  1. Flattened rice - 1 cup
  2. Chopped green chili - 3
  3. Black gram flour - 2 tablespoon (tbsp.)
  4. Break Crum - as needed
  5. Shredded ginger - 1 inch
  6. Salt - as needed
  7. Oil - to fry vadai

PREPARATION:

  1. Soak the flattened rice for 15 minutes. Drain all the liquid and keep it aside.
  2. Grind the soaked flattened rice in a blender (mixer). Add green chili, ginger, salt to the ground flattened rice and make a dough consistent to chapatti dough.
  3. Make small balls out of the dough and coat with bread crumb.
  4. Heat oil in pan. Flatten the balls, make hole in the middle and deep fry them in oil and serve. NOTE: for good result fry them in batches.
