- Idli batter - 2 cup
- Split black gram - 2 tablespoon (tbsp.)
- Split bengal gram - 2 tablespoon (tbsp.)
- Green chili - 2
- Onion - 2
- Ghee - as needed.
- Oil - as needed
- Finely chop onion and green chili.
- In a pan heat oil, add black, bengal gram and cook until they turn light brown.
- Now add the green chili, onion and cook until it turns golden brown.
- Now add this to the idli batter and mix well.

- Heat the kuzhi paniyaram pan with oil in the Kuzhi.
- Add ghee to each Kuzhi. Then Pour the batter into the Kuzhi.
- Cook each side (flip when done one side) until it turns golden brown and serve.
