INGREDIENTS:
- Rice or Basmati rice - 3 cup
 - Onion - 3
 - Yogurt or Curd - 1/4 cup
 - Ginger paste - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
 - Garlic paste - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
 - Cloves - 5
 - Cinnamon stick - 2 inch (broken into pieces)
 - Coriander leaf - 20
 - Cardamom - 4
 - Salt - 1 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
 - Water - 6 cup
 - Ghee - 1/4 cup
 - Oil - 1/4 cup
 
PREPARATION:
- Heat oil, ghee in a rice cooker (you can place the inner bowl in direct heat as well) add cinnamon stick, cloves, cardamom and cook for few minutes.
 - Now add onions and cook until they turn golden brown. Now add the ginger garlic paste and cook until the raw smell is gone (say about 3 minutes)
 - Now add the yogurt or curd, salt to taste, coriander leaves and bring to boil.
 - Now add the rice place it on the rice cooker and cook until the rice is done and serve.
 
NOTES:
- You can cook the same with normal pressure cooker. Need to add right water to cook or the rice will be become mushy.
 - Good to go with Islamic sambar.
