Skinned and chopped radish (Daikon) - 1/2 kilogram
Chopped onion - 2
Dry chili (broken into pieces) - 4
Chopped Garlic - 2 clove
Fresh shredded Coconut - 1/2 cup
Mustard seed - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
Cumin seed - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
Split black gram - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
Curry leaf - 1 sprig
Oil - 2 tablespoon (tbsp.)
Salt - as needed
Sauté the radish pieces in pan and roast them until they release all the liquid and keep it aside. NOTE: the radish pieces will be cooked 1/2.
Heat oil, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds. Once the seeds stop splattering add black gram, dry chili, garlic, curry leaf and sauté them. Once they are sautéed well add radish, salt, 1/2 cup of water. Cover with lid and cook until the radish is cooked and all the water is evaporated. NOTE: not to burn turn the radish time to time.
Now add the fresh ground coconut mix, remove from heat and serve.
