Remove the skin from the potato and cut them into small pieces.
In microwave bowl add potato pieces, 1 teaspoon (tsp.), 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.) salt. Mix well and microwave for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes mix well and cook for another 3 minutes. NOTE: cooking time varies from microwave to microwave.
Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds. Once the mustard seeds stop splattering add the microwaved potato pieces salt and mix well. Cover with a lid and let it cook for 2 minutes. NOTE: don't burn it.
Now add chili powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder. Mix well and cook for a minute.
Now add the yogurt or curd. Mix and cook until the yogurt or curd is completely observed. i.e. yogurt or curd moisture should be completely gone.
