INGREDIENTS:

  1. Potato - 1/2 kilogram.
  2. Chili powder - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  3. Coriander powder - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  4. Garam masala powder - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  5. Yogurt or rice - 3 teaspoon (tsp.)
  6. Mustard seed - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  7. Oil - 2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  8. Salt - as needed

PREPARATION:

  1. Remove the skin from the potato and cut them into small pieces.
  2. In microwave bowl add potato pieces, 1 teaspoon (tsp.), 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.) salt. Mix well and microwave for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes mix well and cook for another 3 minutes. NOTE: cooking time varies from microwave to microwave.
  3. Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds. Once the mustard seeds stop splattering add the microwaved potato pieces salt and mix well. Cover with a lid and let it cook for 2 minutes. NOTE: don't burn it.
  4. Now add chili powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder. Mix well and cook for a minute.
  5. Now add the yogurt or curd. Mix and cook until the yogurt or curd is completely observed. i.e. yogurt or curd moisture should be completely gone.

NOTES:

  1. Goes well with curd rice.
  2. You can cook this without adding yogurt or curd.
