  1. Oil oil - 3 tablespoon (tbsp.)
  2. Chopped onion - 1
  3. Tomato - 2
  4. Chopped Garlic - 7 to 8 clove
  5. Chili powder - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  6. Black pepper powder - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  7. Dried basil or dried oregano - 1/4 teaspoon (tsp.)
  8. Salt - as needed


  1. Blanched then tomato then skin removed and cut into small pieces.
  2. Heat oil in a pan. Now add chopped onion, chopped tomato, chopped garlic and sauté, now add chili powder, dried basil or dried oregano or dried methi leaves, salt.
  3. Cover and cook this for 8 to 10 minutes or until it becomes really mushy. NOTE: Stir time to time to avoid burning it.
  4. Now add black pepper and cook for 1 to minutes. then serve.


  1. You can do this tomato skin on as well.
  2. Use olive oil for good result.
  3. You use  dried methi leaves instead of Dried basil or dried oregano

  5. How to blanch a tomato?

  7. Boil for 30-60 seconds, remove tomatoes from the boiling water, and immediately put the tomatoes in an ice water  or cold water in a bowl. As they chill, you will see the skins start to pull away from the meat of the tomato. Remove the tomatoes from the ice water.
