INGREDIENTS:
- Chicken pieces with bones - 1/4 kilogram
- Shallot (sambar onion) - 1 cup
- Chopped Tomato - 2
- Chili powder - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Garlic clove - 10
- Coriander leaf - little
- Curry leaf - little
- Sesame oil - 5 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Salt - as needed.

- -- Dry roast and grind to powder --
- ----------------------------------------
- Black pepper - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Cumin seed - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Fennel seed - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Coriander seed - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Dry chili - 2
PREPARATION:
- In pan dry roast all the ingredients under section "-- Dry roast and grind to powder --" and grind to powder.
- Crush the garlic clove.
- In a pressure cooker heat oil. add chicken pieces and sauté little. Now add curry leaves, Shallot (sambar onion), tomato, chili powder, turmeric powder, crushed garlic and sauté well.
- Now add salt, water as needed and pressure cook for 2 whistle. Once the steam is released add the ground powder and cook the rasam for 2 more minutes.
- Garnish with coriander leaves, remove from heat and serve.
