Crispy chili chicken recipe

Who does not like spicy crispy chicken pieces? Goes well with variety rice's (sambar, rasam, tamarind rice).

  1. Chicken pieces - 1 kilogram
  2. Chili powder - 2 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  3. Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  4. Black pepper powder - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  5. Garam masala powder - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  6. Ginger garlic paste - 2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  7. Green chili - 2
  8. Dry chili - 4
  9. Lemon juice - from 1/2 lemon
  10. Curry leaf - 15 leaves
  11. Oil - to deep fry
  12. Salt - as needed


  1. Crush green chili and dry chili separately in a motor and pestle
  2. In a bowl add the chicken pieces, Chili powder, Turmeric powder, Black pepper powder, Ginger garlic paste, crushed green chili, crushed dry chili, lemon juice, curry leaf, salt. Mix well and marinate it for at least 2 hours.
  3. Before you fry the pieces add the garam masala and mix well.
  4. Now deep fry the chicken pieces to crispy golden brown in low to medium heat for long time and serve.


  1. Preparation time: 10 minute, Cooking time: 40 minutes
  2. For good crispiness you have to cook in low heat for a long time.
  3. Don't cook in high heat. Chicken will not be cooked and will be burnt.
  4. if it too hot while eating squeeze lemon juice to reduce the heat.
