INGREDIENTS:

  1. Chicken pieces - 1 kilogram
  2. Chopped onion - 1
  3. Slit green chili - 5
  4. Mustard seed, split black gram - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  5. Oil - 4 teaspoon (tsp.)
  6. Curry leaf - 10 count
  7. Coriander leaves - for garnish
  8. -----------------------------------
  9. -- To Marinate Chicken --

  11. Onion paste - 1/4 cup (grinded onion)
  12. Chili powder - 4 teaspoon (tsp.)
  13. Garam masala powder - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  14. Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  15. Ginger garlic paste - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  16. Lemon juice - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  17. Salt - as needed.

PREPARATION:

  1. In a bowl add the chicken and ingredients under the section "-- To Marinate Chicken --" and mix well. Marinate this for at least an hour.
  2. In a pan heat oil, add mustard seeds. Once they stop splattering add green chili, chopped onion, curry leaves and sauté until the onion become translucent (golden brown).
  3. Now add marinated chicken and mix well. Place a lid and cook in medium heat by time to time stirring until the chicken is cooked. I.e. until oil separates
  4. Now garnish with coriander leaves and serve.

NOTES:

  1. Preparation time: 15 minute. Cooking Time: 15 minute
  2. No need to add water. Water released by the chicken is good enough to cook this dish. if you feel like burning add little water.
