INGREDIENTS:

  1. Yogurt (curd)- 1/2 cup
  2. Oil - to deep fry
  3. Salt - as needed
  4. ------------------------------------------
  5. -- For dough ---
  6. ----------------------------------------
  7. Gram Flour - 1 cup
  8. Wheat flour - 1 cup
  9. Chili powder - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  10. Turmeric powder - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  11. Omam (carom seed) - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  12. Cumin seed - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  13. Garam masala powder - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)

PREPARATION:

  1. Mix all the ingredients under section "-- For dough ---", salt as needed.
  2. Now add yogurt (curd), little oil, water as needed and make a soft dough like you do for puri. Now make small balls and press them to a round thin sheet.
  3. Heat oil. Deep fry the thin sheet (puri) to golden brown and serve.
