Mustard seed - 1/4 teaspoon (tsp.) or for tempering
Curry leaves - 1 sprig or for tempering
Oil - as needed
Salt - as needed
Heat oil in a pan. Now add mustard seeds, curry leaves once the mustard seeds stop splattering add the chopped onion and sauté until they become translucent (golden brown).
Now add the chopped tomatoes and sauté until they become mushy.
Now add the chili powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder and sauté until the raw smell is gone.
Now add chopped ladies finger / okra, salt and cook for 5 minutes with lid on. After 5 minutes add the tamarind paste and stir time to time and cook until the ladies finger / okra is cooked and then serve.
