  1. Indian Brinjal - 5
  2. Green chili - 7
  3. Chopped onion - 1
  4. Chopped tomato - 2 cup
  5. Green pea - 1/2 cup
  6. Coriander powder - 3 teaspoon (tsp.)
  7. Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  8. Chili powder - 1/4 teaspoon (tsp.)
  9. Coriander leaf - a handful
  10. Curry leaf - a handful
  11. Oil - as needed
  12. Salt - as needed


  1. Coat the brinjal with oil and roast them in pan. Cool the roasted brinjal and remove the skin and mash them.
  2. In a pan heat oil. Add onion and sauté until onion turns translucent (golden brown)
  3. Now add tomato, green chili and sauté until oil separates.
  4. Now add green peas, salt and cook for 2 minutes.
  5. Now add coriander leaves, curry leaves, coriander powder, turmeric powder, chili powder and sauté for few minutes. Now add 1/2 tumbler (cup) of water and bring to boil.
  6. Now add the mashed brinjal and cook until oil separates.
  7. Serve this with rice.
