  1. Moringa drumstick - 3 or 4
  2. Chopped Shallot (sambar onion) - 7
  3. Chopped Tomato - 1
  4. Mustard seed - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  5. Curry leaf - 10 count
  6. Oil - as needed
  7. Salt - as needed.
  8. ----------------------------------
  9. --- For grinding to paste ----
  10. ----------------------------------
  11. Shredded coconut - 4 teaspoon (tsp.)
  12. Cumin seed - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  13. Chopped Shallot (sambar onion) - 5
  14. Dry chili - 5 or 7 count
  15. Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)


  1. Clean and cut moringa drumstick in 2 inches.
  2. Now grind the ingredients under the section "--- For grinding to paste ----" into a thick fine paste.
  3. In pressure heat oil, add mustard seeds once the mustard seeds splatter add shallot (sambar onion), curry leaves and sauté until the shallot (sambar onion) turns translucent.
  4. Now add tomato and sauté until they become mushy.
  5. Now add the moringa drumstick, ground masala pate, salt and water as needed in a pressure cooker. Pressure cooker this for 2 whistle. once the pressure settles down serve.


  1. You can cook the same brinjal (egg plant).
