Soak rice in water for at least 1 hour. Now drain all the water and grind the rice, fresh shredded coconut, salt into a thick fine paste in a wet grider. Was the girder with 1/2 cup of water and keep it aside.
Powder the jaggery. Heat 5 cup of water and add the jaggery. Once the jaggery melt strain and filter the liquid without impurities. Now bring to boil the filtered jaggery water.
Now wiht the help of murukku achi. Make murukku bits and drop into to boiling jaggery. NOTE: don't stir once you dropped the murrukku threads.
Now add the girder washed water and bring to boil. Once brought to boil reduce heat and cook this in simmer for 10 more minutes or when the right thickness is reached.
