INGREDIENTS:

  1. Rice flour or iddiyappam flour - 2 cup
  2. Luke warm water - 4 cup
  3. Salt - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  4. -- For stuffing --
    1. Sugar - 1/4 cup
    2. Grated coconut - 1/2 cup
    3. Ghee - 1 tablespoon (tbsp.)

PREPARATION:

  1. Mix the rice flour, salt, water as needed and make a smooth dough.
  2. -- Making stuffing --
    1. Heat a pan, add coconut and cook until it turn golden brown.
    2. Now add sugar, mix and cook for 2 minutes.
    3. Remove from heat and keep it aside.
  3. Now make the Iddiyappam with murukku press. Now add 1/2 stuffing and fold it. You will get approximately 2.
  4. Steam them in idly pan. Or steam them by covering a pot of water with cloth and serve.
