INGREDIENTS:

  1. Pasi paruppu - 1/2 cup
  2. Onion - 1 1/2
  3. Hot green chili - 2
  4. Curry leaves (optional) - 10
  5. Ginger - 1/2 inch
  6. Coriander seeds (dhania) - 1 teaspoon (tsp)
  7. Salt - to taste

PREPARATION:

  1. Soak pasi paruppu for 1 hour. Cut onion, green chili, ginger, curry leaves into fine pieces.
  2. Drain water from the pasi paruppu. In a blender grind it (not too paste) along with the cut ingredients.
  3. Add salt and mix well the dough.
  4. Heat oil in a heavy deep pan to 350 F. Make small balls out of dough and deep fry them and serve.
