Now add warm water little by little and knead to a soft dough. and keep this aside for 15 minutes.
Make smalls balls to the size of goose berry.
Roll out these balls into a think round sheet like you do for applam
Now fold two sides overlapping each other. Overlap the remaining two side to form a book fold and seal it with little water. And a clove. (i.e. pin the clove to the seal the sides so they don't open during frying). Do tre same will all the balls.
Combine sugar, little water, cardamom powder, saffron and thick sugar syrup. (i.e. cook for about 20 min by stirring occasionally).
Heat oil in a pan and deep fry them in batches to golden brown. Add the cooked Lathika in the syrup (make sure the syrup is warm) let them soak for 15 to 20 min and serve.
