In pan heat oil, add all the ingredients under the section "-- For Tempering --"; once the mustard seeds stop splattering add onion, green chili, curry leaves, little salt and sauté until the onion turns translucent.
Now add 2 cups of water, turmeric powder, salt and bring to boil. Once boiling well add foxtail millet and bring to boil.
Simmer and cook until the millet is cooked and serve.
if you want this to cooked soft like rice add more water.
