INGREDIENTS:

  1. Coriander seeds - 1/2 kilo gram
  2. Hot dry chili - 1/2 kilo gram
  3. Cumin seeds - 200 grams
  4. Fennel seeds - 50 grams
  5. Black pepper - 50 grams
  6. Turmeric root - 25 grams or turmeric powder - 25 grams
  7. Tuvaram paruppu (yellow pigeon peas) - 50 grams
  8. kadalai paruppu (Bengal gram) - 25 grams
  9. Asafoetida - 1 table spoon
  10. Cinnamon stick - 2 inch
  11. Cloves - 5

PREPARATION:

  1. Dry fry each of these ingredients in pan until the moisture is gone or roasted.
  2. Now grind all these ingredients into a powder with pestle or blender (mixi)
