INGREDIENTS:

  1. Chopped Beetroot - 1
  2. Chopped onion - 1
  3. Soaked bengal gram - 4 tablespoon (tbsp.)
  4. Coconut paste - 2 tablespoon (tbsp.)
  5. Curry leaf - little
  6. Masala powder - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  7. Turmeric powder - little
  8. Mustard seed - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  9. Oil - 2 tablespoon (tbsp.)
  10. Salt - as needed

PREPARATION:

  1. Heat oil in pan. add mustard seeds, onion, curry leaves and sauté. Once the mustard seed stop splattering add the onion and sauté until they turn translucent.
  2. Now add the beetroot, soaked bengal gram and sauté for couple of minutes
  3. Now add the masala powder, turmeric powder, coconut paste, salt, water as needed and cook this in medium heat until the beetroot is cooked and the liquid is evaporated and then serve.
