INGREDIENTS:

  1. Corn pearl - 3 1/2 cup
  2. Black gram - 1 cup
  3. Fenugreek seed - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  4. Cooked rice - 4 teaspoon (tsp.)
  5. Salt - as needed

PREPARATION:

  1. Soak corn pearls in water for 5 hours.
  2. Soak black gram, fenugreek seeds in water for 4 hours.
  3. Once the corn pearls are soaked grind them in wet grinder to a fine thick batter and keep it aside.
  4. Now grind the black gram, cooked rice to find thick batter.
  5. In bowl add corn batter, black gram batter, salt. Beat them well and keep it over night or 10 hours to ferment.
  6. Now make idli with the fermented batter and serve.

NOTES:

  1. The ground batter should be like butter when you run through your finger.
