INGREDIENTS:

  1. Chick pea - 200 grams
  2. Dry chili - 3
  3. Cinnamon stick - 1 inch
  4. Fennel seed - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  5. Baking soda - a pinch
  6. Garlic - 2 cloves
  7. Finely chopped Shallots - 8
  8. Finely chopped Green chili - 1
  9. Grated ginger - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  10. Finely chopped Coriander leaves - 10
  11. Finely chopped Curry leaves - 5
  12. Salt - to taste

PREPARATION:

  1. Soak chick pea overnight, strain water and keep it aside.
  2. Grind fennel seed, dry chili, cinnamon stick, garlic, half soaked chick pea by adding as little water as possible to a paste. Now add rest of the soaked chick pea and grind to coarse.
  3. Add shallot, green chili, coriander, curry leaves, ginger, baking soda, salt to taste and mix well.
  4. Make small balls with the chick pea mixture.
  5. Heat oil high. Now flatten the chick pea balls deep fry them until they turn golden brown and serve.

NOTES:

  1. Chick pea has lot of protein excellent for good heath.
