Bitter gourd pakoda recipe

Good for diabetic people and people who don't like the bitterness of this gourd. Quick and fast snack for bitter lovers.

INGREDIENTS:

  1. Sliced bitter gourd (with seed or deseeded) - 1/4 kilogram.
  2. Garlic - 2 cloves
  3. Ginger - small piece.
  4. --------------------------------
  5. Gram flour - 1/2 cup
  6. Rice flour - 1/4 cup
  7. Asafoetida powder - 1/4 teaspoon (tsp.)
  8. Turmeric powder - 1/4 teaspoon (tsp.)
  9. Chili powder - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  10. Unsalted butter - 1 teaspoon (tsp.) optional
  11. Salt - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  12. ----------------------------
  13. oil - to fry

PREPARATION:

  1. Shred (use carrot shredder) ginger, garlic and add to sliced bitter gourd and mxi well.
  2. Now add all the ingredients expect oil and mix well until the gourd slices are coated well.
  3. Now heat oil and fry the coated gourd slices to golden brown and serve.

NOTES:

  1. Cooking time: 15 minutes
