INGREDIENTS:

  1. Perl millet (kambu) - 1 cup
  2. Horse gram (kollu) - 1/4 cup
  3. Dry ginger - 2
  4. Salt - as needed

PREPARATION:

  1. Dry roast perl millet (kambu), horse gram (kollu) and keep it aside to cool down to room temperature. Make sure when you roast you don't burn it.
  2. Now grind the roasted perl millet (kambu) + horse gram (kollu), dry ginger to a coarse powder like rava.
  3. In bowl add the ground rava, sprinkle water as needed, salt and make a dough which is wet. i.e. when you make a balls out of it and break it it should crumble.
  4. Now steam and cook in puttu maker and serve.

NOTES:

  1. Perl millet (kambu) needs more water so when you make the wet dough wait for 10 minutes and see if the dough got dry. if dry sprinkle water and make the dough.
