INGREDIENTS:

  1. Elephant Foot Yam (Senai Kizhangu) - 1/2 kilogram
  2. Kuzhambu Milagai Thool (curry powder) - 2 teaspoon (tsp.) + 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  3. Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.) + 1/4 teaspoon (tsp.)
  4. Garlic clove - 4 count.
  5. Oil - 2 teaspoon (tsp.) or needed.
  6. Salt - 2 teaspoon (tsp.)

PREPARATION:

  1. Cut Elephant Foot Yam (Senai Kizhangu) into to small thin slices. add 2 teaspoon (tsp.) of Kuzhambu Milagai Thool (curry powder), 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.) turmeric powder, 1 teaspoon (tsp.) salt, water as needed. Cook this until the Elephant Foot Yam (Senai Kizhangu) slices are half cooked. Drain liquid and keep it aside.
  2. In a small bowl add 1 teaspoon (tsp.) Kuzhambu Milagai Thool (curry powder), 1/4 teaspoon (tsp.) turmeric powder, little salt, crushed garlic cloves, water as needed and make a thick paste. Coat this paste to the cooked Elephant Foot Yam (Senai Kizhangu) slices on both sides until the slices are coated well. Keep this aside for minimum 5 minutes.
  3. Heat as skillet and coat with oil. Now roast the slices until cooked both sides in batches to golden brown on both sides and serve. i.e. cook bottom side, flip and cook the other side.
