INGREDIENTS:

  1. Sliced Bitter gourd - 1/2 kilogram
  2. Chili powder - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  3. Kuzhambu (curry) powder - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  4. Turmeric powder - 1/4 teaspoon (tsp.)
  5. Crushed garlic clove - 3 count
  6. Oil - 3 teaspoon (tsp.)
  7. Salt - as needed

PREPARATION:

  1. Mix all the ingredients except oil in a bowl and marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  2. In a pan heat 2 teaspoon (tsp.) of oil. now add the marinated bitter gourd slices and mix well. Place a lid and cook this for 2 to 3 minutes with out burning. Now add 1 or 2 teaspoon (tsp.) oil and fry them until they are cooked and oil separates. NOTE: adjust the heat so it does not get burnt. Sprinkle little water if needed.

NOTES:

  1. Since we did not add tamarind or yogurt this will be bitter. good fro diabetic and bitter food lovers.
