INGREDIENTS:

  1. Mutton ribs (margandam) - 150 grams
  2. Chopped onion - 2
  3. Chopped tomato - 2
  4. Chopped green chili - 2
  5. Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  6. Chili powder - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  7. Cumin seed - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  8. Coriander seed - 25 grams
  9. Black pepper powder - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  10. Oil - as needed
  11. Salt - as needed

PREPARATION:

  1. Grind cumin seeds, coriander seeds to a powder.
  2. In pressure cooker heat oil. add onion, green chili and sauté until the onion turns translucent (golden brown)
  3. Now add tomato, turmeric powder, chili powder and sauté until the tomato becomes mushy and oil start to separate.
  4. Now add mutton ribs, salt as needed and mix well.
  5. Now add cumin and coriander seeds powder and mix well.
  6. Now add 4 to 5 tumbler of water. Pressure cook this for 8 to 10 whistle. Once the pressure is release open the cooker add black pepper powder, coriander leaves for garnish and serve.

NOTES:

  1. Goes well with rice or as soup.
