INGREDIENTS:

  1. Mutton pieces - 1/2 kg
  2. Chili powder - 1/2 tablespoon (tbsp.)
  3. Green chilies - 5
  4. Boiled potatoes - 1/4 kilogram
  5. Turmeric - 1 teaspoon(tsp.)
  6. Oil - 50 milliliter
  7. Chopped garlic - 5 cloves
  8. Chopped onion - 1/2 kilogram
  9. Ginger - 1 piece
  10. Vinegar - 1 tablespoon (tbsp.)
  11. Salt - as required

PREPARATION:

  1. Grind green chilies, ginger, turmeric powder and vinegar into fine paste by adding little water if needed.
  2. Pressure cook or cook the mutton by adding little water as needed. Note: the mutton will release water as well.
  3. In a pan heat oil. Sauté onion until they turn translucent.
  4. Now cube the potato into small pieces and add it.
  5. Now add the cooked mutton with cooked water, ground masala, salt, water as needed.
  6. Cover with lid and cook until oil separates and serve. NOTE: time to time stir so the roast does not get burnt.

NOTES:

  1. Note you can boil the potato with mutton. if using pressure cooker please boil them separate.
