Islamic style chicken curry recipe

INGREDIENTS:

  1. Chicken - 1/2 kilogram
  2. Tomato - 3
  3. Onion - 1
  4. Ginger paste - 1 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  5. Garlic paste - 1 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  6. Curry masala powder - 1/4 cup.
  7. Chili powder - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  8. Coriander powder - 1/4 cup
  9. Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  10. Grated coconut - 3/4 cup
  11. Yogurt or Curd - 1/2 cup
  12. Green chili - 5
  13. Cashew - 5
  14. Coriander leaves - 1/4 cup
  15. Mint leaves - 1/4 cup
  16. Oil - 1/4 cup
  17. Salt - 1 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)

PREPARATION:

  1. Thinly slice onion.
  2. Cut tomato into fine pieces.
  3. Slit green chili into 2 pieces.
  4. Grind coconut, cashews into fine paste by adding little water as possible.
  5. Heat oil in a pan, add onion and until it turn golden brown.
  6. Now add tomato and cook until oil separates.
  7. Now add green chili, coriander leaves, mint leaves and cook for 2 - 3 minutes.
  8. Now add ginger paste, garlic paste cook for 1- 2 minutes.
  9. Now add chili powder, turmeric powder, mix well and cook.
  10. Now add the chicken and mix well.
  11. Now add curry masala powder, yogurt or curd, salt to taste, coriander powder, 2 cup of water and bring to boil. Cook for 10 minutes.
  12. Now add the ground coconut and cook until chicken is cooked well. Once the right consistency is reached. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve.
