  1. Baby corn - 10 count
  2. Peanut - 2 tablespoon (tbsp.)
  3. Thinly sliced onion - 1
  4. Chopped tomato - 1
  5. Garlic clove - 4 count
  6. Tamarind - lemon size
  7. Slit green chili - 2
  8. Sambar masala powder - 2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  9. Curry leaf - little
  10. Coriander leaf - a hand full
  11. Rice soaked water - 1 cup or as needed for kulambu
  12. Thick Coconut milk - 1/2 cup
  13. Mustard seed - 1/4 teaspoon (tsp.)
  14. Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon (tbsp.)
  15. Salt - as needed


  1. Grind in a mixer tomato + sambar masala powder into paste. Cut baby corn into pieces.
  2. Soak tamarind in water as needed and a thick juice.
  3. In a pan heat oil. add mustard seeds and curry leaves and sauté until the mustard seed stop splattering. Now add onion and sauté until they become translucent (golden brown)
  4. Now add garlic, green chili and sauté until the garlic is sautéed.
  5. Now add the peanut and sauté for couple of minutes.
  6. Now add the baby corn pieces and sauté until they change color.
  7. Now add the tomato paste and mix well.
  8. Now add tamarind juice, salt. Boil and cook this until oil starts to separate.
  9. Now add the coconut milk and bring to boil once. Now add the coriander leaves and serve.
