INGREDIENTS:

  1. Idly batter - 3 cup
  2. Shredded carrot - 2
  3. Finely chopped onion - 1
  4. Turmeric powder - 1/4 teaspoon (tsp.)
  5. Chili powder - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  6. Finely chopped tomato - 2
  7. Salt - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  8. Oil - 2 tablespoon (tbsp.)

PREPARATION:

  1. In pan heat oil. add onion and sautae until they turn translucent (golden brown).
  2. Now add tomato, salt and sauté for 2 minutes.
  3. Now add shredded carrot, turmeric powder, chili powder and sauté until they are cooked. Cook this to room temperature and add this to idly batter and mix well.
  4. Now make idly with the batter and serve.

NOTES:

  1. Serve this with idly sambar.
