INGREDIENTS:

  1. Ragi (kezhvaragu) flour - 200 grams
  2. Black gram (Ulunthu) - 50 grams
  3. Sesame oil - as needed
  4. Salt - as needed

PREPARATION:

  1. Soak black gram in water submerged for at least 2 hours. Once soaked. drain the water. Grind this into a fine thick batter in mixer or wet grinder.
  2. Now to the black gram batter add ragi flour, salt, water if needed and make a batter to the consistency of dosai batter. Keep this aside to ferment at least for 5 hours.
  3. Once fermented you will see the batter puffs up. Now make dosai and serve.

  7. Heat a skillet coated with oil. Now pour a ladle of batter and spread around to a round sheet.
  8. Once bottom side is cooked. Flip and cook other side and serve hot.

NOTES:

  1. Goes well with coconut chutney, kara chutney.
