Elaneer Payasam Recipe

INGREDIENTS:

  1. Milk - 1/2 liter
  2. Elaneer pulp (tender coconut pulp) - 1 cup
  3. Coconut milk - 1 cup
  4. Sugar - 1 cup
  5. Cardamom powder - 1 pinch
  6. Cashew nut - 10 count
  7. Ghee - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)

PREPARATION:

  1. Grind half of the Elaneer pulp (tender coconut pulp), sugar and grind to paste.
  2. In a heavy bottom pan melt ghee and roast the cashew nuts and keep it aside.
  3. In the same pan add the milk and boil well. Now add the rest of the Elaneer pulp (tender coconut pulp), cashew nut powder and continue boiling.
  4. Now add coconut milk and remove from heat and serve.
