INGREDIENTS:

  1. Aval (red) - 2 cup
  2. Sugar - 1/2 cup
  3. Cardamom - 2 count
  4. Ghee - 2 to 4 tablespoon (tbsp.)
  5. Cashew nut - 10 to 12.

PREPARATION:

  1. Clean the aval from impurities like dust and rocks.
  2. In pan dry roast the aval for 1 minute .
  3. In mixer add sugar, cardamom and grind to powder then add roasted aval and grind to powder.
  4. Roast the cashew nuts in ghee and add to the powdered aval.
  5. Now ghee as needed and make urundai and serve. NOTE: if you don't want to add too much ghee you can make urundai with milk. only drawback is if you make with milk you have to eat by 1 or 2 days.

NOTES:

  1. Cooking Time: 5 minutes
  2. You can substitute sugar with brown sugar or coconut sugar.
