In a bowl add chicken pieces, curd or yogurt, black pepper powder, turmeric powder, salt. Mix well and marinate for atleast15 minutes.
In a pan heat oil. Add cumin seeds and once the stop splattering add chopped garlic, chopped ginger and sauté to golden brown.
Now add coriander powder, cumin seed powder and sauté. Sprinkle little (handful) water and sauté until the raw smell is gone and oil separates. NOTE: careful and don't burnt it.
Now add the marinating chicken and sauté well until they sweat. Place a lid and cook in simmer until the chicken is cooked and oil starts to separate. NOTE: time to stir to avoid burn. if start to burn sprinkle little water. it takes about 10 to 15 minutes to cook
Before you remove from heat sprinkle black pepper powder, coriander leaf and serve.
