INGREDIENTS:

  1. Hard boiled egg - 4
  2. Shredded coconut - 2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  3. Coriander powder - 2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  4. Chili powder - 2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  5. Mutton masala powder - 2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  6. Onion - 2
  7. Tomato - 1
  8. Oil - as needed
  9. Salt - as needed

PREPARATION:

  1. Chop onion, tomato into small pieces.
  2. Grind coconut, coriander powder, chili powder, mutton masala powder into a fine thick paste.
  3. In pan heat oil, add onion and sauté until it turns translucent (golden brown).
  4. Now add tomato and sauté until they become mushy, add salt bring to boil and cook until the raw smell is gone. If the kuzhambu is thick add 1/2 cup of water if needed.
  5. Once the kuzhambu not too thick slit the egg and add to kuzhambu. Simmer and cook until right thickness is reached and serve.

NOTES:

  1. Goes well with chapati, rice.
